Erik Spiekermann and Typography

Typography is something that not everyone thinks about. It's all about the details, sometimes the most minuscule of details. Most people will probably read the text in the heading of an article and focus on the content before deciding whether to carry on reading or not. Designers and those with an interest in Typography will read the same line, make the same decisions as everyone else, but will also automatically decide whether or not they like the font the heading was written in. It's an instinct, a passion and yes, a little bit weird.
